Hello and welcome to St. James. I am happy to be a part of
the team that works for St. James. I began here in April 2009 and have enjoyed
getting immersed in this congregation. This is my second call and my 8th
year of ordained ministry. I graduated from Luther Seminary in 2003 and from
Gustavus Adolphus College in 1997.
As Associate Pastor, I get to do a bit of everything. I am
involved in worship, children and family ministries, youth ministry, young adult
ministry, and Confirmation, along with some community events, circles,
visitation, and outreach thrown in. I cherish the wide variety of opportunities
St. James offers to bring light into this world. This is a congregation that
loves to learn and loves to serve!
I feel so honored to be a witness to the work God is doing
among and through the people here. Recently I went on a mission trip with our
high school youth and those of 3 other churches. I saw first-hand how God is
molding our youth; shaping them to be leaders in the world.
Added to the mix is the joy I feel as a mother when I see
my own children learning to love Jesus more and more through their relationships
and experiences at St. James. I have three daughters, two in elementary school
and one in preschool. I also have a husband of 12 years who is passionate about
his personal faith journey and is finding many avenues to explore here.
In my free time I like to run (especially 5Ks), hike,
canoe, read, and lay on the beach of a remote island (okay, I’m imagining I
would like that if the opportunity presented itself).
I feel very blessed that God has brought me here. I’m
excited to see where God takes us.
